Cineplex Cinemas Queensway & VIP
The largest theatre in the Cineplex Odeon circuit, the Queensway cinema is a monstrous, 18-screen multi-plex just west of Toronto’s downtown core. The Queensway, which opened on November 16, 2001—the release date of the first Harry Potter film—is conveniently named for the street it extends from. It is also the first theatre in Canada to install D-Box motion code technology, where seats move in a synchronized fashion to the on-screen action. For the adults, the theatre also comes with an Alan Smithee’s Licensed Lounge, although there are many of fast-food options (Pizza Pizza, Yogen Fruz) for the little ones to gouge out their taste buds.
