Sony PSYC DVD Player
(MSRP $250)
Get “psyched” out with Sony’s latest invention — the PSYC DVD player — a transportable device with both style and substance. But don’t be fooled by its compact size — this funky DVD player is an all-in-one entertainment system capable of reading DVDs, VCDs (VideoCDs), music CDs and MP3s. Actually, it can read almost all “burned” discs including CD-R/CD-RWs and DVD-R/DVD+RWs.
Other features include surround sound, an instant replay option and color faceplates that can be removed and replaced with custom images. Though it needs an A/C outlet, this device is small enough to take on the go, be it a friend’s pad, a cottage or simply room to room.

(MSRP $800)

Music aficionados who spend too much time in planes, trains or automobiles — listen up.
Bring your entire music collection everywhere you go with the world’s first 40 Gigabyte (40GB) portable MP3 player. In plain English, this means the new Nomad 3 Jukebox can store more than 16,000 CD-quality songs in a device that fits in the palm of your hand. A “FireWire” cable (a.k.a. “iLink” or “IEEE-1394”) is included for high-speed audio transfer between the PC and portable player, though a USB option is also available.
The player also doubles as a voice recorder and portable hard drive, and can rip MP3s from CDs, albums or cassettes without the need of a PC (cord sold separately).
Canon's PowerShot S320 Digital ELPH Camera
(MSRP $775)
Canon’s latest digital camera – the S230 ELPH – happens to be the world’s smallest 3.2 megapixel digital camera on the market, measuring in at only 87 x 57 x 27 mm (3.4 x 2.2 x 1.1 in). Three or more megapixels means an 8 x 10 photo can be printed out with exceptional picture quality.
This sleek metallic camera includes a proprietary “DIGIC” imaging sensor and “iSAPS” technology, both used to improve image quality for still pictures and moving ones. Yup, you can record short video clips with sound on its 16MB memory card.
The compact camera features a 2x optical/3.2x digital zoom lens, a shutter speed range of 15 seconds to 1/1500 second, 9-point auto-focus and built-in red-eye reduction. Naturally, a handy color LCD window is on the back of the PowerShot to see the images immediately after taking them before deciding if they’re worth saving or not.
The S230 is compatible with both Windows and Macintosh operating systems, and ships with popular software such as Adobe PhotoShop 5.0 LE, Apple QuickTime 6.0 and others.
