Winona is currently seeing Saturday Night Live hunk Jimmy Fallon.   Didn't your mama tell you that if you don't have anything nice to say about British men, then don't say anything at all? A few weeks after complaining that English guys didn't seem to have the nerve to ask her out (she got bashed in the U.K. press for saying so), Gwyneth Paltrow has landed herself a handsome and forthcoming Brit. He is Chris Martin, lead singer of the very hot band, Coldplay.   It looks like Billy Bob Thornton has found another. Her name is Danielle Dotzenrod and, at 23, she's 24 years younger than Billy Bob. And, oh yeah, she looks an awful lot like Angelina Jolie. But as if that isn't enough, Billy Bob was recently spotted with his ex-wife Pietra - that would be his fourth ex-wife if you're keeping score. The meeting has prompted some to speculate that they have reunited, but we believe that he'd rather move on to wife #6 rather than start repeating himself.   Kate Winslet and her better half, director Sam Mendes, were recently turned down for a $3 million apartment in New York City simply because the owners didn't want a famous couple around to attract attention. Instead, Kate and Sam had to settle for a humble little $5 million mansion in England.   Meanwhile, Nicole Kidman did manage to buy in New York. She recently spent $10 million on a condo. Her neighbors include Calvin Klein and Martha Stewart.
And was Nicole really spotted in a strip club? George Clooney too? It seems the latest fad in Hollywood is the old-style burlesque striptease, which one owner says emphasizes the "tease" as opposed to the "strip". One such club is the "Forty Deuce" in L.A., which has been visited by Charlize Theron, Demi Moore, Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani.   If you're going to marry a woman, it's a good idea to suck up to the potential in-laws. Perhaps that's why Ben Affleck recently presented Jennifer Lopez and her mom with matching Rolex watches, valued at $25,000 each. While Ben may be considered one of the luckiest guys on the planet, he's not having much luck getting funding for his new movie. It's called The Dreyfus Affair and is based on the 1992 novel about a gay baseball player. Apparently Hollywood is a little wary to tackle the subject matter.   A lot of celebrity kids try their luck in Hollywood… where mom or dad have already made it big. Mel Gibson's 21-year-old daughter is doing the exact opposite. Hannah Gibson, who is the oldest of Mel's seven kids, has decided to become a nun.   Six months ago, only a handful of people had even heard of Winnipeg actress Nia Vardalos. But after the success of My Big Fat Greek Wedding which she wrote and starred in, Nia is in big demand. CBS wants Nia to star in a TV series based on the movie, and she's also committed to writing and starring in a new comedy called Connie and Carla Do L.A., which starts shooting in the spring. And don't be surprised if, come Oscar time, Vardalos is on the nominees list in at least one category (most likely best screenplay).   Recently we reported the very strange rumor that Elizabeth Hurley has actually taken to eating with children's cutlery so she eats less. While that story sounds a little far-fetched, the desperation in Hollywood to look skinny is real.  According to a recent report in Cosmo, some stars sprinkle a ton of salt on their meal halfway through so that they won't eat any more. Or they munch on sugarless gum all day to keep their mouths busy. But when they're out in public or do press interviews, they order lots of food to give us the impression that they are healthy eaters. Courtney Thorne-Smith says one of the reasons she left Ally McBeal was that the pressure to stay small was too big for her. These days, the average actress is 10 pounds lighter than she was just two years ago… and her dress size is size zero.   Disney's remake of the old Jodie Foster film Freaky Friday is in jeopardy. Stars, Annette Bening and Kelly Osbourne have dropped out of the flick. In case you don't remember, Freaky Friday is about a mother and daughter who accidentally trade bodies for one day… something that I'd like to do with Jennifer Aniston.
