t's been 30 years since Tobe Hooper's original graphic shocker The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was released in theaters. It's the story of a group of hippies who pick up a hitchhiker and end up being held captive, tortured and cut up by a cannibalistic family, including the horrifying character known as Leatherface.

In the remake, a group of young people are on the road, heading to Mexico to buy drugs. When they learn a dozen graves have been desecrated in rural Texas, they go to investigate, only
to be pursued by a family of cannibals, led by Leatherface (of course), a chainsaw-wielding madman wearing human skins.

Music video director Marcus Nispel (Shaggy, Bryan Adams, The Spice Girls) makes his feature film directing debut, Michael Bay (Pearl Harbor, Armageddon) is producer and in keeping with the horror theme, shock rocker Marilyn Manson scored the soundtrack.

Jessica Biel (7th Heaven) stars. She told MTV, "We worked really, really hard to make it incredibly realistic. So hopefully, the audience will think it could happen to them. It could be your neighbor who's a psychotic maniac."
