Lost in Translation

A washed-up American TV star (Bill Murray) meets the young wife (Scarlett Johansson) of a photographer in Tokyo and they spend a weekend doing some "soul-searching" together. Written and directed by Sofia Coppola (The Virgin Suicides).

Matchstick Men
A neurotic con man (Nicolas Cage) is about to pull a lucrative scam when the teenage daughter he never knew he had unexpectedly drops into his life. Alison Lohman portrays 14-year-old Angela, who wants to learn the art of the con. Sam Rockwell portrays Cage's partner-in-crime.

Secondhand Lions
An introverted 14-year-old boy (Haley Joel Osment) finds himself spending the summer with his two eccentric great-uncles (Michael Caine and Robert Duvall). They're gruff and cranky, but soon they're telling him exotic tales of their youth. The stories introduce the boy to a world of imagination and in turn, he re-ignites the old men's spirits. Directed by Tim McCanlies.

Beyond Borders
A romantic tale of a decade-long relationship between a British
international disaster relief worker (Clive Owen) and a philanthropic socialite (Angelina Jolie). Set against a backdrop of war-torn locations in Africa, Thailand and Europe.
The Human Stain
Anthony Hopkins portrays a professor at a prestigious New England college. Suddenly, his professional life is destroyed by allegations of racism and his personal life is shattered by a lie he's lived with for 50 years. He gets help through the friendship of a writer named Nathan (Gary Sinise) and a scandalous affair with a young woman (Nicole Kidman).

Mystic River
An emotional crime drama about three childhood friends brought together again by the murder of one of the men's daughter. Secrets of their past are revealed and as the search for the killer intensifies, they are forced to face their true selves. Stars Sean Penn, Kevin Bacon and Tim Robbins. Directed by Clint Eastwood.

Runaway Jury
Based on the novel by John Grisham. A high-priced and ruthless jury "consultant" (Gene Hackman) will stop at nothing to secure a verdict on an explosive trial. Stars John Cusack, Dustin Hoffman and Rachel Weisz.

Shattered Glass
The true story of Stephen Glass, the Washington, D.C. journalist who became famous, only to be revealed as a fraud. During his three years at The New Republic, many of his published stories turned out to be partially or completely concocted by Glass and often contained made-up quotes. Hayden Christensen plays Glass.

The Station Agent
Finbar McBride (Peter Dinklage) is a man trying to live life on his own terms. He decides to move into an abandoned train depot but meets two people (Patricia Clarkson and Bobby Cannavale) there who show him even isolation is better shared.
